If, like me, you're the kind of person who notices textures, colours, light and space, and who travels with a sketchbook or always carries a notebook just in case inspiration strikes, then you need to discover Andaz Dubai The Palm.
Right from the moment you step into the lobby, the hotel sets the tone for design lovers and artsy types. The lobby feels more like an art gallery than a traditional hotel entrance, with carefully curated local artworks and creative details that immediately spark your imagination.
The location
Located on the trunk of Palm Jumeirah, the hotel offers a perfect balance of peace and convenience. You have easy access to Nakheel Mall, a variety of restaurants, and a beautiful private beach. This means whether you want to explore or relax, everything you need is just a short stroll away. If you are travelling from Saudi Arabia, Qatar or neighbouring emirates, the accessibility and welcoming atmosphere make Andaz your go-to spot for a refreshing break.
The rooms
After a smooth and quick check-in, we head to our suite. The rooms are filled with not just style, but comfort too. Designed with strong Art Deco influences, they combine bold primary colours like deep blues, vibrant reds and sunny yellows with clean, stainless window frames that fill the rooms with natural light. Despite the striking design, these rooms are incredibly cosy. The suite we stayed in had a wonderful sense of space and calm, making it perfect for creative days spent writing, sketching or simply relaxing and getting lost in a good book.
The comfy, cloud-like bed aside, one of the other highlights was the large desk positioned by the window. It offered a quiet nook where the sunlight streamed in just right, ideal for focusing on work or creative projects. If you are someone who finds inspiration in your surroundings, this suite feels like a personal studio away from home.
The facilities
Beyond the rooms, the hotel maintains its creative energy throughout. The lobby alone invites guests into a world of art and design, setting a refreshing tone for your stay. I spent a solid half hour in the boutique next to the lobby, admiring local jewellery designers, textiles, and handmade gifts. It's the perfect spot to support local makers and pick up future gifts. Corridors and public areas feature a range of textures, colours, and art installations that make wandering the hotel an engaging experience.
The rooftop pool offers stunning views of Dubai’s skyline and a peaceful environment to unwind. The private beach is well kept, providing a calm retreat for swimming or sunbathing without the crowds. Dining here is just as thoughtful as the rest of the hotel. The Locale, the main restaurant, is bright and inviting, serving dishes inspired by Levantine, Mediterranean, and Asian cuisines. It’s a relaxed space where you can enjoy long breakfasts or quiet dinners, making it perfect whether you’re dining alone or with company. We enjoyed both a full breakfast and a light lunch at The Locale. For dinner, we excitedly headed over to La Coco Family, where we dined beachside, sampling mouth-watering seabass with a refreshing drink in hand.
If you are looking for a place that combines striking design, comfort and convenience, Andaz Dubai The Palm is an excellent choice. It is a perfect spot for a mid-week escape, a creative retreat, or a special celebration. With easy access to the mall, beach and local restaurants, plus an inspiring environment designed with art lovers in mind, it really does have everything you need to feel refreshed and inspired.
Sometimes all it takes is a change of scenery to reignite your creativity. If that sounds like what you need, Andaz Dubai The Palm might just be your next favourite getaway.
