Prime locations for Art Basel Qatar

The inaugural Art Basel Qatar will be held at M7, Doha's creative hub and the Doha Design District in downtown Msheireb.

These locations make it easy to access other notable cultural landmarks, including the National Museum of Qatar.

Key partnerships

The launch of Art Basel Qatar is a collaborative effort, forged through a long-term partnership between Art Basel, its Swiss-based parent company MCH Group, Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), and QC+.

QSI, a major investor in sports, culture, entertainment, and lifestyle, along with QC+, a strategic and creative collective specialising in cultural commerce, will play pivotal roles in establishing Art Basel Qatar as a leading Doha art fair.

What to expect at Art Basel Qatar 2026

Art Basel Qatar 2026 will bring together participating galleries from both local and international scenes. It will provide a platform for artistic talent from the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, and beyond.

Beyond the fair itself, the partnership intends to create year-round touchpoints, both in Qatar and across Art Basel’s global platform, fostering a deeper engagement with the region's creative culture. This new fair is set to significantly enhance Doha's art ecosystem, with plans to expand in the near future.

Qatar's growing art ecosystem

This initiative reinforces Qatar's position as a global arts hub, building upon the nation's singular cultural vision. Under the stewardship of Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums, Qatar has cultivated a thriving ecosystem of world-class art collections, renowned institutions, and celebrated festivals.

Art Basel Qatar is poised to further accelerate opportunities for artists, galleries, and patrons, strengthening connections and collaborations within the international and MENA art community through significant art fair collaborations.
