Emirati Women’s Day celebrates the incredible achievements of women across the nation. To mark the occasion, The St. Regis Abu Dhabi has partnered with Zayed University’s College of Arts and Creative Enterprises (CACE) to showcase the creativity and powerful self-expression of female Emirati artists.
Visitors are invited to head down to The St. Regis Abu Dhabi to experience this inspiring celebration firsthand.
From 28 August to 3 September, the hotel’s elegant lobby and Crystal Lounge will be redesigned as a refined gallery space offering visitors the chance to encounter ten works by artists whose practices stretch across painting, sculpture, digital media, and mixed forms. The exhibition, presented under the national theme Hand in Hand, We Celebrate 50 Years, captures the richness of heritage while also embracing contemporary narratives. It is an invitation to reflect on how Emirati women continue to shape the nation’s cultural voice.
Among the featured names are Sara Alahbabi, a conceptual artist exploring visibility and memory within the UAE’s urban landscape.
Ameena Aljerman Alali, who brings Afro-Emirati history into focus through video, sculpture, and text.
Visitors will also discover the layered explorations of Zainab Alhashmi, a multidisciplinary artist and curator.
As well as the experimental mixed-media works of Asayel Abdalla, who combines photography and printmaking with cultural storytelling.
Visitors are welcomed into a refined setting where cultural pride meets modern creativity. Whether you're a longtime supporter of Emirati art or a curious newcomer, this exhibition offers a meaningful look into the voices shaping its future.
