Dubai Opera is ushering in the festive season with a grand musical celebration. On Tuesday, 3 December, the venue hosts a Christmas Gala presented by Berin Iglesias Art, uniting three exceptional voices for one evening of Italian opera classics.
Taking centre stage is celebrated Italian tenor Vittorio Grigolo, whose career began as a young soloist at the Sistine Chapel before expanding to major international houses including La Scala, the Metropolitan Opera and Deutsche Oper Berlin. Known for his charismatic presence and emotive vocal range, Grigolo has earned prestigious accolades such as the Caruso Prize, Puccini Prize and a Grammy nomination.
Joining him is acclaimed baritone Luca Salsi, recognised for his commanding interpretations of Verdi. With performances across the world’s leading opera stages, Salsi brings a powerful and richly textured voice shaped by decades of artistic mastery. Completing the trio is rising soprano Alisa Medvedeva, whose crystalline voice has earned her widespread attention. The young artist has already performed alongside renowned artists, including Andrea Bocelli and Il Divo and has multiple international competition wins to her name.
The soloists will be accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, conducted by Alibek Kabdurakhmanov. Established in 1937, the orchestra is celebrated for its versatility and global touring history, performing across eras and styles with precision and emotional depth. Their participation comes under the patronage of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Audiences can expect a programme filled with beloved arias and orchestral works from Puccini, Verdi, Donizetti and more, drawing from iconic operas such as Tosca, Lucia di Lammermoor and Don Giovanni. Set within Dubai Opera’s striking architectural surrounds, the evening promises a festive atmosphere shaped by soaring vocals, lush instrumentation and timeless storytelling.
For opera enthusiasts and seasonal visitors alike, the Christmas Gala offers a rare opportunity to experience three celebrated performers sharing the same stage, backed by a world-class orchestra. It stands out as one of Dubai’s key cultural highlights this December, a musical celebration designed to inspire, transport and usher in the holidays with a magical atmosphere.
Tickets are now available through Dubai Opera’s official platforms.
