Gianni Versace fans, if you're heading to London this summer, you'll want to add this to your itinerary.
A major moment in fashion history is landing in the capital, as a landmark Gianni Versace Retrospective opens at The Arches in London Bridge, on 16 July 2025.
Born in 1946, Gianni Versace was one of the most influential fashion designers of the 20th century. Celebrated for his theatrical and luxurious designs, frequently showcasing vibrant colours, ornate detailing, and richly decorative baroque patterns. This exhibition brings together over 450 original pieces.
The show features unforgettable looks worn by icons like Princess Diana, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Elton John, Liz Hurley, and George Michael—many of which have never been seen in the UK before. Expect opulent baroque prints, jaw-dropping eveningwear, bold bondage designs, and the unmistakable energy of the ’90s catwalk.
The exhibition also explores Versace’s deep ties to London’s cultural scene, from his legendary friendship with Elton John to his close bond with Princess Diana. It highlights the rise of the supermodel—with London-born Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss front and centre—and celebrates Versace’s collaborations with world-renowned photographers and musicians.
Beyond the glamour, the retrospective considers how Versace’s expressive style continues to shape fashion today.
