A true haven for creatives, Gulf Photo Plus is much more than a place to develop film, it’s a whole community for photographers. GPP offers developing services for 35mm and medium format film (both colour and B&W), and you can also stock up on film rolls, disposable cameras, and accessories. They host workshops, exhibitions and events too, so you’ll feel right at home whether you’re a beginner or a pro. And, the perfect way to beat the heat if you're staying in the UAE this summer.
GPP routes your film through three labs depending on how quickly you need it back. Their in-house GPP Film Lab is the fastest at 3–5 days with a 24–48 hour rush option available. Filmoticon Space Lab, also based in Dubai, takes 2–3 weeks and specialises in motion picture and specialty formats. Carmencita Film Lab in Spain takes 6–10 days and also offers a female-only processing option if needed. All three handle C-41 colour, black and white, E-6 slide film and ECN-2 motion picture film across 35mm, 120, 4×5, 8×10, 110 and Super 8 formats. Disposable cameras from Kodak, Fujifilm, Agfa, Ilford and Lomography are all accepted.
If you can't make it to Alserkal Avenue in person, GPP accepts film by courier, include your WhatsApp number with the shipment and they'll send a payment link once your film arrives. There is also a dedicated drop box at 421, Zayed Port, Abu Dhabi, collected weekly, with scans ready within 2–3 days of pickup (C-41 and B&W only).
