Dom Art Projects, an independent, female-founded contemporary art institution in Al Quoz, is stepping into the new season with a programme spanning exhibitions, digital presentations and artist residencies, centred on time and how it is experienced.

The programme launches alongside the gallery’s debut at Art Dubai at Madinat Jumeirah from 15 to 17 May 2026, where it will present a digital-focused group show featuring artists including Sofya Skidan and Michiko Tsuda. The presentation brings together video, VR and NFT-based works, moving between digital collage, immersive environments and virtual compositions, introducing audiences to new artists and works that reflect the growing role of digital media in contemporary art.

Back at its Al Khayat Avenue space, two exhibitions run from 13 May to 13 September 2026. The first, Time That Grows Slowly, is the main group exhibition, curated by Alexander Burenkov. The show draws on vegetal time, exploring growth, decay and repetition through the lens of plant life. Works by UAE-based artists including Maha Alasaker, Sulafa Mohammed and Farah Soltani sit alongside cross-regional practices, with installations and moving image pieces that explore interspecies relationships, ecological systems and slower rhythms of change.

Alongside it, a solo presentation by Petr Kirusha features works developed during his Dubai residency. The exhibition draws on his documentation of Al Quoz and the city’s shifting landscape, translating these into paintings shaped by light, atmosphere and the pace of urban change.
The programme also includes studio residencies for UAE-based artists, offering dedicated space for production and research, and time to continue developing work over the coming months.
Take your time and don’t skip the art and culture bookshop, it’s worth browsing before or after the exhibitions.
